Born alone, born into the darkness
Son of God, His name was Jesus Christ
Shepherds came, led by angels heard on high
Because they knew, He was the Harbinger of God

As a boy, the only sinless one was He
Ever true, to His Father He would be
As He grew, men came just to see
Because they knew, He was the Harbinger of God

When a man, He preached to men in hoards
The words He spoke, were words straight from the Lord
The scholars feared, the miracles He made
Because the saw, He was the Harbinger of God

Condemned to death, He was nailed upon a tree
With His dying breath, He forgave His enemies
When He died, a darkness fell over the land
And then they knew, He was the Harbinger of God

Mary wept, for her son had lost His life
Peter ran, in desperation and in strife
He rose again, He rose again to set man free
For those who know, He was the Harbinger of Life
He was the Harbinger of Love
He was the Harbinger of God
