Looking back upon your life, you saw two roads
One less traveled
You carried on the one the one you thought you saw was right
On smoother gravel
All the high ground that you sought had led you down and
Down much lower
Now past the point of no return, you wish you'd chosen paths
Much slower

There's no second chance, if only you had know of Jesus
You can't run away, from this choice you thought you never made
Salvation is a gift, that can't be given by anyone but Christ
Now don't you wish you'd known, that it was Him that made the sacrifice
---His body for your soul

Forever's longer than you'd thought it'd be; it's length
Defies all reason
You're waiting for yourself to be set free, but you know
That it won't happen
So many words to say to someone that was once you
But trapped in silence
You can't explain the pain of missing Jesus' love
You lay in grievance

There's no second chance, if only you had know of Jesus
You can't run away, from this choice you thought you never made
Salvation is a gift, that can't be given by anyone but Christ
Now don't you wish you'd known, that it was Him that made the sacrifice
---His body for your soul
